If someone makes a mistake, they should not make fun of them. In addition, pointing out mistakes is not allowed, as this could discourage other players from joining the game.

The professional Tournament Directors Association (PTA) is responsible for managing poker rules. The association was founded by poker players Matt Savage, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and David Lamb. It now has over 2,500 members from 63 countries. The association holds a summit once every two years to discuss and review the rules of the game. Among its members is WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel. The rules can be downloaded from the PDA website.

In poker, only the players to the immediate left of the dealer must make a bet. These are known as blind bets and are made without seeing the cards.
